Assemblies & Strikes

Meetings, demonstrations, strikes, and other forms of peaceful assembly are a legal way of exercising your right to protest and one of the forms of freedom of expression and the corresponding right to assembly.

The Constitution of the Republic of Moldova protects the right to peaceful:

  • meetings
  • demonstrations
  • pickets
  • strikes 

The state has a duty not only to respect the enjoyment of the right to freedom of assembly, but also to ensure that it is not impeded both by public institutions, counter-demonstrators or other third parties.
